Art Entangled with Clothes – TTSWTRS

TTSWTRS was founded in 2013 by Anna Osmiekhina, as a collaborative project where art entangles with clothes.The creatives involved take inspiration from the human body in all its forms, tattoos and the freedom they represent, tattoo-artists, photographers. TTSWTRS pieces are a form of body modification: one can not tell where the clothing ends and  the body begins. The project aims to make clothes feel like a second skin and strives towards sustainability. 

Starting from a small team of enthusiasts creating clothes as if for themselves, the brand has since then grown into a world-known phenomenon, worn by Nicki Minaj, Kourtney Kardashian, Winnie Harlow, Lena Perminova, Nina Kravitz, Sita Abellan, Lisa Owen, Tommy Cash, Ksenia Sobchak, and many others, with a manufacturing fabric and printing workshop in Kyiv, clothing spaces in Kyiv, Odessa and Moscow and collections sold at selected shops all over the world.

“The concept of TTSWTRS appeared by a fateful incident that got me involved in the exciting subculture of tattoos. My friend was in a relationship with a tattoo artist who had his whole body covered with tattoos and acted god-like and almighty. I was so thrilled  and inspired with his energy that we created a capsule of sweatshirts with a working title «tattoosweaters». And the rest, as they say, is history.”
