Henrik Vibskov draws inspiration observing unexpected irregularities and turns them in to theatrical collections shows. Last season's runway show had a host of handsomes bathing and grooming in surrealist bathrooms, all of whom were forced to quit their theatrics and stumble out of the venue when the fire alarm went off. Vibskov decided to use the experience as a starting point for his new Spring/Summer 2021, also adding memories of a burning motorcycle he saw in the middle of Copenhagen shortly after the show. Fire!
The new collection is named The Horsepower Takeaway, referring to the horsepower of the burning motorcycle as well as the fact that horses often return to their stall in a burning barn as they perceive it as their safe space. The runway show featured enormous white rocking horses ridden by voluminously dressed figures. In contrast to all the crazy going around in back, the models in front wearing the new collection's pieces appear very down to earth. The garments are made from relaxed fabrics earth tones, motivs of ashes and blooming flowers. Laid back summer silhouettes with a hint of military formality are treated to give them a slightly melted character. Very fresh, as Vibskov explains "fire can be the start of a new beginning".
We have the new collection in-store, first online items are available.
