Mui – Facetasm Takes It Into The Woods For Autumn / Winter

The first pieces from FACETASM's latest collection are on the racks. The collection “MUI”, meaning “forest” in Okinawa dialect, offers its signature outsized unisex silhouettes an eccentrically layered looks while continuing to refine its sense of detail.

According to FACETASM designer Hiromichi Ochiai the collection is a commentary on current feelings of disenchantment and detachment of our surroundings:

“We don’t know anything about the place that lies a little further. No, we don’t even know anything about our neighbors, in fact we don’t even try to know more about ourselves.”

About the inspiration behind the collection the designer states:

"I wanted to present the clothes in a world where everything is accidental, such as the organic shapes of the trees in the Yanbaru forest (a forest on the island Okinawa, Japan) and the movement of light changing in the wind."
