More Memories – Facetasm Goes Back To Happy

Happiness, yes please! Joyful memories solidly embedded into our personal data banks enable us to feel a sense of well-being, even in uncomfortable situations. When however these happy memory reserves are not regularly supplemented, it becomes more difficult to get out of bed and face life's inevitable challenges.

Facetasm's designer Hiromichi Ochiai understands the power of positive experiences and has set out to bring back fun in order to create a healthier world. It's new Spring/Summer 2021 collection aims to create, bring to life and most importantly, make memories of happiness:

“Memories are a mixture of happiness and unhappiness, but I hope our collection will bring back your most pleasant ones, from now on accompanying you and moving you to create a better world.”

The new collection has an easy sunny feeling, consisting of comfortable (mostly) unisex garments, ranging from jackets, to overalls, a dress and a whole bunch of tops. All of it executed in the brand's well-established ready-to-go aesthetic using contrasting fabrics and unorthodox color palettes. Definitely something to cheer about. As our great lock-down lock-up is coming to an end, research and studies start investigating its effects on both personal and social well being. Pre-pandemic research by professor Amit Kumar at the University of Texas showed that "Memories of novel and happy experiences — especially ones that involve social interaction — seem to benefit people because they reshape how we see ourselves for the better.
