A new black DRKSTAR Chuck 70 Hi silhouette makes its way from its recent AW22 show to retail in mere weeks along with a new white low-top. Both showcase Owens' signature elongated tongue and inflated bumpers and toe cap, infusing the Converse classic with cues from Owen’s beloved DRKSHDW SS14 Ramones. In Rick Owen's own words:

"I FRANKENSTEINED THE CLASSIC CHUCK TAYLOR BY SLAPPING MY OVERBLOWN BUMPER AND TOECAPS ON TOP OF IT. I NEEDED TO MAKE THEM MORE BOMBASTIC. LENGTHENING THE TONGUE WAS ANOTHER WAY FOR ME TO EXTEND AND TAKE UP MORE SPACE. IF ANYONE KNOWS ME, THEY WILL RECOGNIZE MY IMPULSE TO MAKE SOMETHING STICK OUT OR DRAG ON THE FLOOR. DRAMA.”

The sneakers are accompanied by accesories in Rick Owen’s signature black and pearl color palette: a classic six-panel baseball cap - DRKSHDW edition - made with nylon and the DRKSHDW Go Lo Backpack featuring custom details.
