Art of War – Maharishi Breaks The Arrow

Throughout the years Maharishi has been at the core of every bi-annual collection at Concrete Store. As expected the Autumn / Winter 2021 collection revolves around war, peace and sustainability. The new drop from "Art of War" explores the art of warriors from disparate cultures such as the indigenous American Comanches and the Japanese Samurai. The brand's Maha Tailor Shop dives into deadstock vintage military patches that were abandoned by the US army at the end of the Vietnam war. To top it off the Warhol banana makes an appearance.

With current and past collections Maharishi has shown that war is an intriguing human concept, but never a sustainable one. Creating its garments it sets out to up-cycle, re-cycle and work with environmentally friendly fabrics as much as possible. For the A/W 2021 collection British velvet and a heritage melange wool are used alongside sustainable materials such as organic cotton and natural hemp as well as vegetable-dyed recycled nylon. Maharishi knows how to pick its fights and head into battle with style.
