Adidas by Angel Chen – Fusing East and West

This season Adidas looks to Shanghai based women’s ready-to-wear designer, Angel Chen. The designer, known for her fusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics, brings this inimitable take to a number of the brand’s iconic apparel and footwear silhouettes. Inspired by the trailblazing creative’s colorful synthesis of Eastern and Western aesthetics, the 10 piece collaborative collection reimagines Adidas’ sporting DNA through a distinctly playful lens.

Infused with the Chinese designer’s unique perspective, the footwear offering sees Angel Chen bring fresh takes to the SL7600 and Superstar silhouettes. Leveraging instantly-recognisable aesthetic codes, the SL7600 W AC boasts a multicolor primeknit upper which is sat atop a reworked midsole featuring ‘teeth’ details that have become a quintessential trademark of the designer’s oeuvre. Switching focus to the Superstar, the iconic archival sneaker is rebuilt with a newly designed ‘teeth’ outsole and is available in monochromatic tonal pink and black colorways.
